Longman & Eagle or Dusek's?

Heading to Chicago for the weekend and want to try one place from this group. Dusek's seems to be getting a lot of "best new restaurant" reviews, while Longman seems to be "best" for Chicago. Anyone been to both and have an opinion?
New and trendy or classic?

  1. I haven't tried Dusek's, but L&E is consistently very, very good. I don't know that I would call it a classic. It's pretty high concept and innovative. No reservations so either go at an off time (like early or late dinner) or try them for lunch/brunch which they serve every day.

Thanks! I'll be by myself so will take a chance for dinner during prime time.

    2. Both are great venues; they are several miles apart so I would base it on which is more convenient.

Both are probably equidistant from where I'm staying. Having such a hard time making a decision! Thanks for the help.

I would check out each one's menus online and choose based on which seems more appealing to you. I have been to both and find them fairly equal quality wise and with regards to ambiance and service.

I've been to both a few times and Dusek's knocked my socks clean off. L&E did not. At Dusek's, I would take bites and be astounded at how tasty the dishes were.
