Julia Saly's restaurant

Just a shot in the dark here, but-- long story short, I'm a big fan of 70's horror icon Paul Naschy aka Senor Lobo. One of his most distinctive co-stars was beautiful (and sinister) Julia Saly, who seems to have disappeared. Read on an internet blog recently that she retired from films, and was running a restaurant somewhere in Spain. Just curious if anyone is familiar with the restaurant, and is it any good? Thanks.

  1. A tiny bit of googling indicates that the restaurant was once in Santiago de la Ribera in Murcia, but it has closed.

P.S. If you ever find yourself in Madrid, there's a tiny movie theater that specializes in old Spanish horror flicks called Artistic Metropol:

Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear the place has closed; not that I'm planning to go to Spain anytime soon, but it would have been cool to dine at the place someday and get a good meal and maybe even an autograph from Ms. Saly. Ah well...and I appreciate the information on the movie theatre as well. I've always been a fan of Spanish horror flicks, and that taste has only strengthened in my old age; I'm also starting in my old age to acquire a taste for Spaghetti Westerns. I was in Europe 30 years and Spain was the one country I didn't get to visit. A decision I sincerely regret, as it always looks exquisitely beautiful when I see it in movies now.
