Hi, I am spending a week on the sorrentine peninsula and then a week in Positano. I am looking for a good foodie tour of sorrento and any off the beaten path restaurant reccomendations in Massa lubrense, Sorrento, Positano, Ravello and Amalfi. Thanks!

In Sorrento, walk to Port of Marina Grande, you'll leave behind many, most? tourists back in central Sorrento. Any of the small restaurants along the harbor will serve extremely fresh fish (grilled sardines were exceptional). We were treated to a local wedding reception and traditional folk dancing with our dinner one evening.

You may also want to explore north of traintracks on foot. This is where the locals live and hang out.

Also check out Raki Gelato (see new post).

If you search Positano/Capri you will find many of my recommendations. The one I think you can not miss is Da Adolfo. This is a very casual beach spot that is reached by taking a small boat from the Positano Ferry launch.

Check out the blogs www.ciaoamalfi.com and http://figandlemon.blogspot.it for a local resident's view of life on the Amalfi Coast.
