Best weekend brunch/lunch spot around Central Park south?

I'll be visiting Manhattan in July. Where would be the best place for a Saturday brunch or lunch for two people? I prefer a spot with al fresco dining or at least a gorgeous view of the park. Price doesn't matter. It should take reservations, however. I don't like to wait for tables. Thanks!

Not al fresco but you can request a window table for a view of the park.

If you absolutely have to be outside reserve a terrace table at Nougatine, but the food just doesn't live up to the same lineage as that of big brother, Jean Georges.

    1. The Boat house in Central park isn't all that bad actually.

      1. Central Park South itself isn't really set up that way with lots of patios/sidewalk dining caf├ęs facing the park. It's a busy street. Many very tall, fancy hotels with doormen. Plus the horse drawn carriages and accompanying smells.

        Try Asiate.

Don't forget that bad weather can ruin any plans you have for any al fresco dining.

Along the same lines as Asiate, if OP wants a skyline view of CPS then Robert works as well.

And in july bad weather could be the fun 90+ degrees with extra sticky humidity that we get....

... mixed in with the body odor emanating from the horses!

From the carriages, and NYPD's finest.
