Breakfast Sausage - RI

  • 5

Any suggestions for a source of breakfast sausage in RI that's NOT Italian sausage? (No links, no Jimmy Dean, etc)

  1. I'm not 100% sure what you mean - "no links" - but I believe that whole foods has breakfast sausage that is made in house - it's sold in the butcher case.

Or - I hear good things about Westerly Packing - and you could also get in touch with Persimmon Provisions.

    1. I'm not in RI, but Penzeys has a breakfast sausage seasoning you simply mix into ground pork. I like!

Penzey's may be the best approach - http://www.penzeys.com/cgi-bin/penzey...

I'll have to stop in my travels, but I'll look into Whole Foods as well..

Glad my response didn't bug you. I figured if you were having a tough time finding what you wanted, you might be game to make it yourself. :)

      2. PV Farm Stand of North Scituate, Rhode Island, sells its own “all natural grass and grained fed meat products”: beef, pork, boar, lamb, goat, rabbit, chickens and turkeys.

There are several sausages available including a pork breakfast sausage and a boar breakfast sausage. I particularly like the very tasty boar products.

Farmer Frank Martinelli is a vendor at several RI farmers’ markets: Pawtuxet Farmers’ Market at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, Amory Market in Providence, and Fishermen’s Memorial.
