Best pizza in Ulster County?
Was back up there last month and was disappointed in pizza we had. Going back next month. Any suggestions?
I see this is an old post, so the response may be moot by now, but La Florentina, on Albany Ave. in Kingston is wonderful. They do pizza, calzones, and a few pasta dishes in a woodburning oven. They use superior imported or house made ingredients and their pizza compares favorably with any I've eaten in Italy.
Its in a godforsaken strip mall and looks like a dump from the outside. The inside is less dumpy, but nothing to write home about. I split my time between the city and Woodstock, NY, and its pretty much the only restaurant of any kind in the area that I think serves good food that isn't overpriced.
