lobster shack near toms river nj

  • 4

I saw an old post here, but need more current info. My Grandmother wants lobster. I don't like seafood. Can someone recommend a place I can go. Not fancy. Good view of water or outdoor seating if possible. I am willing to drive a little. Hopefully price is decent.

I read reviews of Gregorys but not to good.

    1. Red's Lobster Pot on Inlet Drive in Point Pleasant:

Point Lobster Company on St. Louis Ave. in Point Pleasant:

Crab Shack on Mantoloking Road in Brick:

Please note, the second two are primarily fish markets that serve incredibly fresh seafood and have some outdoor tables available for seating. Red's is a true restaurant with a wooden deck next to a boat dock. None of them serve alcohol.

Edit: Sh*t. Sorry. I missed your "I don't like seafood" statement. Red's has chicken?

      1. Around the block from Red's Lobster Pot is Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty. This is NOT a recommendation of this restaurant, however they do serve lobster, they are on the water, they have a large comfortable dining room for grandma and they have several non-seafood options.

        1. Grandma would love The Shrimp Box on the water in Point Pleasant. Long-time favorite for families and the older crowd. Plenty of chicken/pasta dishes for you to choose from. It's a busy place, but service is usually very good.
