Brevard, NC restaurant suggestions

I'm planning a weekend trip to Brevard, NC and was hoping for some suggestions for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are staying downtown so places in walking distance would be great.

  1. Though I've never been to the restaurant proper, I've had food from the Hobnob at the Cradle of Forestry and found it to be very good. Here's a link to their site: http://hobnobrestaurant.com/

I finally went to the main Hobnob restaurant in Brevard this week. I was there for lunch and had an excellent (dressed) catfish po'boy. It came with well prepared steak fries, hot, cooked through, and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, I had a top-notch orange creme brulee. I loved the decor and the house; it reminded me a little of the Eastside Cafe in Austin or the Zevely House in Winston-Salem. I'm definitely going back the next time I'm down that way!

    2. I've enjoyed dinner at HobNob and breakfast at Sunrise Cafe.

      1. Probably too late to help you, but my friends and I enjoyed a GREAT meal at the Square Root in downtown Brevard a few days ago. http://www.squarerootrestaurant.com

        1. I find myself spending more and more time in Brevard. I'm looking for an affordable lunch spot. Though I very much like the Hobnob, it's a little pricey. I've been to Mayberry's, but it's not exactly my cup of tea, well coffee actually. It's important that the place has good coffee. I was thinking about trying the Sunrise Cafe. Any thoughts?
