brunch in Marin

  • 9

Looking for brunch suggestions in Marin - other than Toast, which is good but we've been there a bunch of times already. Grandpa is 94 so the noise level is important!

A strong second (third?) for MHBB. To me, they have the best breakfast and lunch food around.

    1. It's not fancy, but I really like Miller's East Coast Deli in San Rafael. Noise level is good, and the food and service are too. you can also sit outside when it's nice.

I also like the Shoreline Coffee Shop in Mill Valley. Looks just like it has for years and years, but fortunately the food has improved tremendously!

And, if you want to feel like you're living in 1967 Marin, try Mama's Royal Cafe in Mill Valley. I was there in 1967, and it hasn't changed one bit. Food is ok, but the atmosphere is a trip to the past.

None of these places have incredible mind-blowing food, but they're really pleasant and have decent noise levels. When I'm out for brunch, that's what I look for.

      1. Theresa's and Jonny's on 4th Street is good and not too noisy.

          1. Marvin's in Novato. Outdoor seating in fairly quiet.

              1. MHBB is great, also taco janes in san anselmo has outdoor seating which is nice noisewise and very pleasant to sit outside this time of year. the food is good, not great, but some intresting mexican options for brunch and cocktails :)
