Upload nothing?

Upload your Photo
Upload nothing to replace your avatar with the default.

I've started getting this message about once a day when I click on my avatar to go to my profile page. Why am I getting it? Does it want me to replace my avatar with a generic one? And if so, why?

Anyone else?

  1. That's odd. That's the message you're supposed to get if you click on your avatar when you're already on your profile, since that's how you change it, but you shouldn't get it when you're on a different page and just want to go to your profile.

Can you give us an example of a page you were on when you clicked the avatar (copy the address from the browser location), then right or control click the avatar and copy the link where the avatar is leading before you click it, and then give us the address of the actual page you end up on once you click the avatar?

I'll try to do this next time it happens.

ETA: It occurs to me that I sometimes use my avatar as a refresh button if I've been away from the computer for a few hours. Perhaps that's what was happening.

Okay. So it happened twice today, both times from my profile page:

When I tried to follow your instructions about right- or command-clicking on my avatar, nothing seemed to happen. Perhaps that was because I was already on my profile page? The first time it happened, I assumed it was because I’d come back to my computer too quickly and there was nothing new. But the second time it happened I clicked the refresh button and there were three threads listed with new posts I hadn’t read yet.

This is not a major problem, obviously. And I can live with it. I was just curious about it and was wondering if it was happening to anyone else. Evidently not.
