Palin and Bourdain

So, Tony did Brazil last night, and Palin is doing it tonight.

It's interesting to compare them. They both relate well to people and appear to jump enthusiastically into whatever they encounter.

Neither shy from the shadier side of things, but Tony seems to seek it out as a rule.

Thoughts?

  1. This post disturbed me until I realized you meant Michael and not Sarah. I mean, right?

Me, too! I thought Bourdain would shriek at the fact that he was being compared to Sarah!

although...Sarah P in Brazil with non-English speaking foreigners. Serious trainwreck must-watch TV.

I read,"they both relate well to people" and knew something was very wrong. OK, not Sarah. I feel much better.

          3. I'm watching Palin in Brazil at the moment. I always enjoy Michael for his commentary, and demure . Around the world in Eighty Days was one of my favorites of his. And Tony. For the food and drink, great writing, and all the places he's been. I like both shows equally.

I just read MP's novel The Truth. It was excellent, so now I'm looking forward to starting his older one, Hemingway's Chair.

I think I recall MP eating dinner with a cannibal in a previous show...

Shouldn't that be "who" was the entree? (Sorry, just couldn't resist.)
