Returning to Asheville/Weaverville next month

Teesh Jun 8, 2014 06:02 AM

Looking forward to returning to Asheville/Weaverville in July. Will dine at Curate, Limones, Isa, Cucina 24 and Stoney Knob once again unless you have heard some derogatory comments about them. Would love to know what has been happening in the restaurant scene in the area over the past year. Any recommendations?

Those all sound like great choices! "New" (in the last year) options I'd also recommend - drinks at Nightbell (Curate's sister cocktail lounge), Food/drink at King James Public House (former Zambra chef), and while I haven't been personally, have heard great things about King Daddy's Chicken & Waffles (from owners of Early Girl).

I can attest to the quality of King Daddy's. It took a little while to get our food, but it was made to-order, so I don't really mind.

Had the pumpkin waffle and Korean fried chicken, both super flavorful. Real maple syrup is the norm, and you can request sorghum as well!

Thank you all for the input. Are there any restaurants that have gone downhill since last summer?

Hear good things from people I trust about Ambrozia in Beaver Lake Shopping Center. Killer burgers cooked to your temperature for one thing.
