How to open Martell Noblige properly (without damage)?
I bought my Dad a bottle of Martell Noblige at Duty Free in Shanghai.
The new seal and spout look very tricky and hard to break, without damaging the plastic insert (pour spout).
The spout has a little plastic piece that needs to be removed.
Have you come across this before? The question is: how to open the tamper-proof seal of a bottle of Martell Noblige Cognac?
Can you post a photo (preferably close-up) of what you're talking about? From your description I've never seen anything like it.
It doesn't sound like something that Martell would put on any of their bottles - I haven't had the Noblige, but I've had several other Martells, both above and below that one in their lineup, and they all have standard cork stoppers. Perhaps it's an add-on done by the local shop or authorities?
I took a look at the bottle on the weekend. He got it open and it has a limited pouring capacity. Angle makes a difference. Possibly an air issue. Thanks for wanting to help, Bob!
