Most imaginative Cobb Salad in Manhattan?

  • 5

I really enjoy salads, and I just had a really interesting interpretation of the Cobb at Stone Park Cafe in Brooklyn that came with this sort of vegetarian Scotch egg that was deep-fried in bread crumbs but nice and yolky inside, sitting on top of the other usual accoutrements like bacon, chicken and avocado.

Anything similar in Manhattan?

I think WD-50 at one point did a Cobb, but not sure.

Any thoughts?

  1. I don't know if it's super imaginative, but Lobster Place's Cobb Salad has some really tasty grilled shrimp.

    1. A Cobb salad is Cobb salad. Anything else is a salad.

gourmanda-you are so correct! Anything other than original recipe for any dish is just that-something different!

      2. Thai Cobb at Shopsin's is probably the most unique variation. More related to the Thai part than a traditional Cobb salad, but well worth trying.

        1. There's a vegan cobb with tempeh bacon at free foods on w 45th...
