Where can I buy Brewer's Art canned/bottled beer (NoVa/DC)

According to their website Brewer's Art sells a couple of their beers in bottles and cans in surrounding areas. Does anyone know what areas that includes and any stores what I can buy it within 30 minutes of FFX? The other option would be an easy stop off 95n on a Sunday between NoVa and Philly.

Thanks

  1. Don't know about DC or NoVa, but State Line Liquors in Elkton will have them. Perfect Pout in Columbia will also, but probably will be more expensive. But both are a quick exit off of I95.

Thanks. At least online the beer selectionat State Line looks good. Have you gotten growlers filled there before?

Can't comment since I'm not a growler type of guy, but haven't heard anything bad about it. Of course if you really want growler's from Brewer's Art you could go straight to the source. A bit of a stretch of red lights from I-95, but go there during non-peak times at the restaurant and they'll be happy to help you.

Unfortunately I'm not heading up through Bmore until Sunday morning.

It's very unlikely that you can get a growler filled at a liquor store, unless it's one that has a bar attached. Draft kegs are required to fill a growler.

Their website says that they fill growlers. Twenty taps.

Ah, they must have a bar. I'm not familiar with the place.

Yeah I was surprised. I've only gotten growlers filled at breweries or brew pubs. I'm tempted to put an empty growler in my carry on just to try it out.

The law changed about a year ago. Places like State Line, Perfect Pour, Wine Source, etc. can sell them now. See http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/g... for one article.

but State Line has been filling growlers for years. I wonder if they were exempt somehow. I remember going there (on my way back from New York or Connecticut) and getting a growler full of Old Rasputin back when North Coast first started distributing in this area. Blew my mind. They only had 3 or 4 taps then though.

My local Whole Foods in Falls Church fills growlers. I think what they fill them with varies

State line was perfect. I think it might become a frequent stop on our way north. Thanks.

            4. I've seen Resurrection and Ozzy cans at super markets in VA (Alexandria specifically).

Thanks, I'll have to give Wegmans and Whole Foods a try.

Didn't find it at the whole foods in Fairfax. Never checked Wegmans. The store employee that I asked said he never heard of it.

But I was able to find a wide assortment at State Line Liquors in Elkton.
