Where to buy Lechon

  • 7

I'm looking to buy a whole, roasted suckling pig for a gathering next week. What's the best place to get one? And how far in advance do I need to order it?

Thanks, looks like Jack's or Sally's. Since 2012, have you been able to try any of those options?

Sorry, I haven't. Perhaps (hopefully) someone else with current experience will chime in. I'd call and check out Jack's and Sally's, just so you know what sort of lead time you need to put your order in by as you wait to see what other suggestions you might get.

    2. Eva's Lechon. Its fantastic.

      1. I get excellent lechon and Filipino food in Carson.

        For lechon checkout:

        Bahay Kainan
        D.A. Handugan Lechon

The Filipinos at my work always order from one of these when there's a fight on TV, and it's damn good.

        1. not sure how far you are from the oc area but vietnamese bbq joints are definitely great for a whole roasted suckling pig (they will also chop it up for you) there's several locations all named "lien hoa bbq" if you're willing to check them out!

i think you probably have to let them know at least a day or two in advance, but i'd call to check!

          1. LA Rose Cafe in Hollywood.
