Burrata in Baltimore

Ever since I got my first taste of burrata at Providence a couple years ago, I've been on a mad hunt for it in Baltimore. While I've found a few decent sources for fresh mozzarella (Mastellone's being my favorite), never found a place for burrata.

Does anyone know of a good resource for this? I've tried Whole Foods, Wegman's, and Fresh Market as well as smaller Italian groceries like Mastellone's DiPasquale's, and Trinacria.

  1. Maybe try going to or contacting a restaurant that uses it during a slow time and asking them.

I know that Peter's Inn has a great burrata appetizer. Although I can't imagine them really having downtime to try and workout a deal during.

    1. Not sure if this qualifies as a "good" resource, but Verde in Canton does a Burrata appetizer for $15. They do take out.

      1. They had it at Eddie's on Charles Street today, at the cheese display in the produce section (just to the left of the glass display case). I don't know how good the prepackaged stuff is, it may not live up to your memory!
