I thawed out some hamburger meat wrapped in plastic but didn't notice the twist tie that was on the bag it was in

It burned and melted a small bit of plastic wrap that was over the meat, I removed the effected part, is the rest still ok to use ?

Thanks!

Of course your hamburger is still ok to use. Most plastic wrap sold today is safe for microwave use, especially the newer plastics. I would not worry about it, but I would not routinely microwave plastic wrap unless the plastic wrap does not actually touch the food.

I guess you really were not that worried or really really hungry.

Unfortunately, eating the hamburger will result in instant death.
