Maine foodies on the UWS in June: anything wonderful?

We understand this area is not a hotbed of great choices, but would welcome suggestions for b'fast, brunch, and/or dinner. Any reasonably authentic Chinese (any region), which is something Portland doesn't have? Thanks for any and all ideas.

Szechuan Gourmet on 98th street and Broadway. Take the subway to Chinatown for Shanghai and Cantonese restaurants

Where exactly on the uws? That neighborhood includes everything from w60th st up to about 115th...
        X'ian has a location there:

And red farm does now too

AVOID Shun Lee in the w 60s.

Legend is another respectable bet for Szechuan - two locations on the UWS, one on 72nd, one on 109th.

          I'll also second X'ian - super-cheap, very distinctive.

The Cecil, in Harlem, is really wonderful. Get the kale salad.
