  1. I seriously enjoyed the quinoa salad last time I was there for lunch. This is always a safe bet.

Also got the mushroom consommé and thought it was really just meh. Wouldn’t get it again, that’s for sure.

They always have specials on the black board which are usually pretty good too! At this moment I can’t recall what I had but the specials change daily.

Food is great..but portions are tiny..order more than you think you can eat!

Their seafood dishes are good; if I'm there for a la carte I tend to get a fish dish for my main.

        2. Save room for dessert and order as many as you think you can handle. The young pastry chef is arguably the most talented one working the in the city right now -- incredible creativity and fantastic touch with flavours and textures. Ask him to surprise you if he has time.

Is the pastry chef new or has he/she been there from the beginning?

He (Farzam Fallah) has been there from the beginning as far as I know.

          2. Thanks to everyone who replied.... Will definitely double down on the desserts and see what the specials of the day are...

            1. I was just there today, the lunch special was very good value. I ordered the chilled asparagus soup and roast beef main. TorontoJo I wished I read your post - I didn't even look at the dessert menu.

              1. Definitely go with the charcuterie board to start.

                1. okay, so if we don't go for the tasting menu, we could possibly start with the charcuterie and/or quinoa salad, slide into a fish main/special of the day, or default to the burger. for dessert, the chocolate tart, cheese plate, and maybe the caffe corretto. . .

i didn't see it on their website, but do they have a cocktail menu?

Yes, they do have a cocktail menu.

                  2. thanks to everyone who replied.

we ended up having the tasting menu and were quite impressed. all told, there were 11 dishes, plus salted chocolate caramel fudge mignardises at the end.

relatively simple ingredients, nothing too exotic (not counting what went into some of the charcuterie selections), all prepared and executed very, very well. the beef duo, roasted veg salad with creamed feta, and desserts were the highlights.

had the daily special cocktail, a blend of gin, citrus and chartreuse--it was nice and summery, perfect for the evening.

service was attentive but not obsequious, friendly but not obnoxious, knowledgeable but not pretentious.

we will be back to try the dishes that were suggested, but that we didn't get around to.

                    would highly recommend.

                    1. returned for the burger today, and we also sampled the quinoa salad and a swordfish sandwich, both meals were accompanied by rosemary fries, and a delcious mustard seed mayo for dipping. . .happy to report that richmond station is still excellent! service was superb, and the portions were, for us, more than filling--it made for a substantial lunch that neither of us could finish. . .
