Heads up Portland - Boil Water Notice 5/23/2014

"The Portland Water Bureau issued a city-wide boil notice on Friday morning after water staffers detected E. coli in three separate tests during the past three days."

  1. I just read that too -- apparently it is retroactive to May 20 when we WERE in Portland, gack! What a gigantic hassle, and bad news for restos having to close.

      Lifted on Saturday, apparently.

      And there's this: A U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rule that goes into effect next April will require that all reservoirs holding drinkable water are either covered or pass water to a re-treatment plant before being sent to taps.

      That's going to cost...

        Yes the covering thing sucks. Not only costly, but we lose these beautiful landmarks. Go to Mt Tabor while you still can.
