breakfast/lunch between Louisville and Frankfort

cbrand May 22, 2014 08:36 AM

We are road tripping from Colorado through KY on our way to dropping our son off at Wake Forest. We will be coming from St.Louis that morning and we will be stopping at the Buffalo Trace Distillery for a tour. We would like to eat before the tour.

We need a late breakfast or early lunch option, not too far off the road, somewhere between Louisville and Frankfort.

It doesn't have to be fancy (though it can be). We will eat anything as long as some care and love was put into it.

I don't have any ideas for breakfast food, but in the east end of Louisville is one of my favorite Cuban restaurants, Havana Rumba. They're open for lunch Thursday-Sunday.

    Havana Rumba:
    12003 Shelbyville Rd.
    Louisville KY 40243

Also near there is Peking City Bistro. Some of their dishes are run-of-the-mill Americanized Chinese food, but some of their dishes are really great.
