Pre-teen birthday dinner in Richmond?

I need advice! My daughter turns 12 this weekend and I'm taking her and her girlfriends to Richmond for a day of wandering gardens, dinner, and jumping on trampolines. But I'm stuck on dinner. It has to be fairly inexpensive, but it does not have to be the kind of kid friendly that translates into kids meals and coloring menus. Rather, I'm looking for someplace with a fun ambience, a place that would give the girls a sense of festivity. Any ideas?

  1. What part of town? Mexican is the first thing that comes to mind.

Mexican could work, and we'll be on the middle to west side of town...

The El Paso on Cox Road does a good job with groups and is inexpensive.
