I am looking for a Italian biscotti cookie recipe that has chopped walnuts, figs, fennel seeds, anise oil.
Biscotti are pretty basic and I imagine most recipes would accept those as substitutes. My basic recipe is a quick mix of two cups of flour, two tsp. baking powder, half tsp. salt, three beaten eggs, 3/4 cup of sugar, add flavorings/fruit/nuts; form on Silpat and bake. Others add melted butter. I don't think biscotti need it, myself.
