June 2014 COTM Announcement: Congratulations My Paris Kitchen!!!

The winner of voting for the Cookbook of the Month this June is My Paris Kitchen: Recipes and Stories by David Lebovitz. While it received some competition, Mr. Levovitz's recently released book was the clear winner. I am sure we are all excited to get cooking from this great book. I must admit I've already started sampling from it, ha ha.

If you would like to discuss COTM in general or My Paris Kitchen please feel free to post here while waiting for the threads to come in June.

Same here, there seems to be a lot of fabulous stuff in there. My only worry is that the dessert chapter looks killer and I've just started a bit of a diet.

    2. Wow, awesome job on the links there delys! Thank you so much!

      1. my copy of book from library is in transit and not yet at my home library

        1. Well my library system simply doesn't have enough copies for the number of requests for this book. Been using the library for cookbook of the month for years, and this is the first time getting the book before the end of the month will not be possible.

Maybe I can try a few of the online recipes that delys has kindly provided.

Since I have the book I'd be happy to paraphrase recipes for you, SMT. Just let me know which ones you're interested in when the reports are posted.

            1. re: smtucker

I've requested it from my library too - we'll see if I get it anytime soon. Luckily there are lots of recipes available online for this one, and I'll keep an eye out for paraphrased recipes from the crowd (thanks Gio!).

Have you tried the inter library loan system?
you can get books from all over the USA
you can also borrow from many State University libraries
Speak to your local research librarian

                1. re: jpr54_1

I tried mine - nothing close by (and I live close to 3 unis).

                  1. re: LulusMom

I recently received a cookbook from a Mississippi University library.
as I mentioned above speak to your Reference librarian.
My son is a reference librarian in NJ and he has helped me navigate the system in Florida

              2. Wow..so soon after it's release! I'm surprised and excited to join in! I'm going to sit down this evening and mark some recipes. I haven't joined COTM for several months, but June is looking good!
