Chicharron de queso

I was in Mexico City and had a terrific appetizer called Chicharron de queso, which is basically a thick slice of fried cheese that is crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle. It is similar to the Argentinean Provoletta. Anyone know if this is available in H'Town?

  1. You can get it at Maria Selma on Richmond I believe, but there are variations and some are just shredded cheese fried to a crispy wafer. I haven't ordered it at Maria Selma. The one you had sounds great though.
