Azul Tequila coming to Dry Creek/2222

That little spot behind the Shell station has seen a multitude of mediocre places. Has anyone tried their other location down south? Any good? Reviews and menu are average, but I am really hoping for another decent choice in the area! Thx!

  1. That coming soon sign has been up for a VERY long time.

    1. I frequent the south location. Their texmex is fine, but nothing special, but I really love some of their interior mex. Cochinita pibil and albondigas are my go-tos.

I agree with this assessment of the Cochinita pibil, though i haven't been in over a year.

Yes, the interior stuff was the bomb, plus their margaritas. Sadly, I haven't been in a long time because of commute time.

The Cochinita pibil is also my go to when we go, my wife likes the red posole, or sometimes a stuffed pepper. I've never really gone in for the tex-mex here as I go to a place near work for that. I also take guilty pleasure in the queso compuesto. The margaritas are also well made.

I miss the white posolole at Las Manitas. Still trying to find one somewhere.

          2. Their website says coming Spring 2014 and I have seen a lot of work the last few days, so there is hope.... I am excited about the interior mex as fajitas and enchiladas surely don't do it for me!

            1. Wonder if they will have mariachis like the south location.

I'm not sure how big the South location is, but this location is not very big. They do have a small outdoor patio area, but given that it's in a neighborhood, I doubt there will be live music out there. I'd would love some mariachis - everything is so boring in this neck of the woods!

Once we went and the mariachis were singing "Knock 3 times on the ceiling...". What a surreal experience.

              2. Here's hoping it's better than the last two attempts at that place.
