Eastern Sicily, Amalfi and Capri

We will be travelling to Eastern Sicily (Taormina and south) then Amalfi and finally Capri and looking for some choices for light lunches and great dinners along the way. All of us are adventurous and willing to travel for great eats! Will have a car in Sicily and Amalfi and will rely on taxis in Capri. Leaving end of June. Thanks for your responses.

  1. Near Positano in the tiny slice of beach in Laurito is Da Adolfo. I have said 1,000 x times how much I love this place.

In Capri, two beach clubs I have had consistent, good meals over the years are Il Faro in Anacapri (fancy) Bagni Tiberio (sit down restaurant, but more casual)

thanks so much for your recommendations. I have seen the Da ADolfo mentioned in many threads so that is on my list already; will add the others

    2. One of my favorite places for dinner on the AC is Acquapazza in the small village of Cetara.

We also had a fantastic dinner in Amalfi at Lido Azzuro.

No comment on driving and parking on the AC in July ...

      1. Are La Madia in Licata and Il Duomo in Ragusa already on your Sicily list? Both are well worth a detour, though the town of Licata has little else to stay for, so maybe have a nice lunch at La Madia and then travel on from there.

I made couple of other Southern Sicily suggestions here:

        1. Many of us here love Acqua Pazza in Cetara.

La Capinera in Taormina is excellent.

          1. We really enjoy Arco dei Capuccini in Taormina. Granducca for decent pizza but amazing views is also recommended.
