Suggestions for last minute seafood (Tuesday) for party of 6?

I fell asleep and neglected to book anything for a going away party tomorrow night. I'd like some good seafood, upscale casual (not really fancy). ICOB or Row 34 would be perfect, but they're not showing anything available until 9pm for ICOB and nothing for Row 34.

So two questions:
- Any experience with walk-in at ICOB or Row 34, getting there at something like 5:45 or 6pm to put my name in for a 7 or 7:30 table? What happens if I put my table in for 6 and I make it to the top of the list in 20 mins and I'm the only one there?
- Other recommendations for something similar, either via reservation or walk-in?

I'd prefer something in Boston vs Cambridge or elsewhere as most of our group is staying either in Back Bay or near MGH.

  1. I had a great meal at Ostra just a little while ago. Very upscale, not necessarily fancy, more like trendy upscale (e.g., guys were wearing nice polos up to full suits). Fish was excellent and the menu is eclectic. I thought it was a little pricey, but the excellent wine list makes up for that. ;)

    1. did you call the restaurants directly? I've often been able to get a table when I call when OpenTable is showing nothing. They can tell you about walk-ins.

Especially with a group - a lot of places will restrict groups on OpenTable so they have more control.

      2. How about Atlantic Fish or Oceanaire?
