Prix Fixe Dinner Recommendations

Jimmcf May 12, 2014 08:26 AM

Some friends from work and I are looking to go into Manhattan for a nice prix fixe dinner. I have been looking on line, and having a somewhat difficult time finding restauarants that are currently offering it. Does anyone have any recommendations? It would be much appreciated.

You will get more helpful responses if you state a general budget, and your food preferences. (Italian, Creative/modern, etc) Would any neighborhood work?

Any neighborhood is ok; I would say looking in the neighborhood of $40 a person. Any type of cusine is ok.

Benoit has earlybird, pre-theatre prix fixe menus, priced at $34 and $39 for 2 and 3 course options. http://benoitny.com/menus

DB Bistro Moderne has a $48 pre-theatre, prix fixe dinner. Realize that's over $40, but might be acceptable as an option that's around $40. http://www.dbbistro.com/nyc/pre-theater/

Not at $40pp, their prix fixe is $98 for three courses (minimum).

I sent this before they posted the desired price.

Giorgio of Gramercy has a nice one for $45.
