Luxembourg City and Strasbourg in November

  • 4

SO and I will stay one night at Hotel Bristol in Luxembourg City, driving from Strasbourg. Does anyone have experience in either LC or Strasbourg? We would like to have a nice taste without blowing a huge wad of cash, hopefully learning something about the cuisine in each place. Are there any special dishes that are not to be missed?

  1. Search Strasbourg on the France board.

      did that before I posted.

I've solved my Strasbourg problem by booking half hour south of town, unless someone suggests a downtown Strasbourg resto.

I still need advice on Luxembourg City if anyone has experience there.

    2. We had 2 good meals in Luxembourg last year and I would recommend both places. Clairfontaine and Le Bouquet Garni. All in all, I probably found the food a bit more "gourmet" at Clairfontaine - also, it was our anniversary and they really made a fuss over us. However, Le Bouquet Garni is in a marvelous old historical building with a very cozy and special feeling, and the food there was really good too, so it's probably more a personal preference. I don't think you would go wrong with either one.

Thanks! I will make note of them both.
