Anyone remember Rocco's in St Paul in the 70s?

Not exactly a food quest, but I wonder if anyone remembers it.
A mighty busy place, now long gone!

  1. I do, very fondly. When I was a child, I remember a very small filet topped with a crispy fried onion ring as a favorite. Also, my first experience with Spaghetti a la Caruso, with chicken livers. Yum! Now that I am old, that petite filet would be a perfect size meal.

      I had my first real job back them We spent every payday at Roccos---
      Chicken cacciatore, $5.95!

        Minnehaha ave, east side. There's nothing there now,--the corner was finished by fire

      2. I loved Rocco's. They had a pate starter, and it's the only place I ever had frog's legs! Of course the Italian food was the main reason to go. Thanks for the memory!

          After the starter and salad & all that italian bread you barely could finish the entree---then they asked if you wanted dessert!
