Sweet Bricks Toffee downtown San Diego

Just happened to walk by Sweet Bricks toffee downtown today on E Street between Ninth and Tenth. I think the entrance was actually up a sidewalk ramp off of Ninth.
Delicious toffee! Having sampled a great deal in my time, and also having made it myself using different recipes, this one is quite a find.
I bought the milk chocolate peanut, but sampled the other four flavors. All were delicious. Just the right balance of crunch, sweet, salty. Didn't stick to my teeth either, which is a pet peeve of mine.
Only complaint was expense. I paid 16.95 for 8 ounces. Very nice packaging so it would be a great gift for someone I really like. Like myself.

  1. I'm going to print out your post and try to remember where I put it come Christmas season this year. Thanks.

    1. Danger, danger! This is way too close to my hair salon!

Will report back toward the end of the month (next appt.), as I can't resist good toffee.

Thanks (I think!) for the rec!

I will apologize now for posting about this. I ate the whole bag yesterday. And I'm thinking about going back tomorrow. It was that good.

I always say: "If it's irresistible, don't resist".

      2. Thanks for the review!
We have since moved across the street to a better, easier to find location (917 E Street). Come see us for the holidays! Mention Chowhound and we will be sure to take care of you :)
