Good dessert in Flushing?

hungry_united May 8, 2014 09:41 AM

We're going to Kum Gang San in Flushing for Mother's day dinner and I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a good place to get dessert nearby? Any excellent ice cream places or anything like that? Thanks!

I like the red bean puffs at Nan Xiang or the shaved ice at Baidu. Hunan Kitchen has decent tong yuan.

Mulan is your best bet for ice cream, they also have cakes

This place has an outpost in Flushing in the New Century Mall on Roosevelt. Its called Beautiful Memories Dessert.

I love the Mango Sago and everything mango from here.
      Great stuff

ALSO- In the same food court is a Restaurant that only sells TakoYaki and Japanese style crepe cones with ice creams inside with fruits and such. We will often hit this place up for crepes.

When you come down the escalator Beautiful Memories is on the left along the wall and the crepe place is straight ahead to the left.

I'm super-pregnant with twins and started having contractions and back pain at the end of our long BBQ meal, so we just had the tasty yogurt they give you at Kum Gang San and then headed home... Am keeping all your recommendations on file for next time though! Thanks!

try kang ho dong next time you're there, its much better than kum gang san

I've actually been there! Thought the meat was delicious and the atmosphere was great but was disappointed by both the portion size and the number of panchan offered... Though I did like the scallions -- KGS hasn't had scallions the last few times I've been and they are one of my favorite Korean BBQ accompaniments.

yah the quality of the meat is much better than KGS and the condiments are good as you said
