lunch with boss

My boss in town next Thursday (15th). Where would people recommend taking him?

No budgetary restrictions and no food preferences. Flexible when we sit down between 11.30am-1.30pm.

Have a table at Jean Georges reserved but wondering where else people would suggest? EMP would be my preference but no tables seem to be available. Loved Betony earlier this year so would prefer somewhere new.

Thanks in advance!

  1. If you liked Betony, I highly recommend The NoMad for lunch.

If you're interested in a multi-course tasting menu (since EMP is your preference), also highly recommend the 5 course tasting menu at Bouley ($55 per person).

Thank you - should have mentioned also liked the NoMad very much when I visited earlier in the year.

Bouley is somewhere I've been looking at but haven't read anything to suggest the food has any kind of wow factor to differentiate from a lot of French restaurants in Europe (I say this from the perspective of my European boss who spends a lot of time in France)

Bouley, while good, certainly won't wow anyone who spends a lot of time in France.

Lunch at EMP would take longer than 2 hours.

I would recommend The Modern Dining Room. The new chef Abram Bissell previously worked at The NoMad.

And prior to that Eleven Madiosn Park; the circle of life...

Yup - these are three good recs for a Europhile business lunch.

Le Bernadin is a great choice for lunch. Better than JG in my opinion.

          2. great, thank you all for the recommendations. Le Bernadin it is
