I can't choose! Marc Forgione, Louro or Pearl & Ash for a Sunday night. Who's been to all and has a strong preference?

These all seem adored by this board and I can't decide! MF and Louro have been on my radar for a long time (I'm coming from Toronto) but Pearl & Ash looks great too.
I like the creativity of all the menus and the price line is what I'm looking for (don't care about the wine or cocktail list).
How different are they in terms of atmosphere?
Going to The NoMad the night before.
Thank you in advance.

  1. P&A is really fun but also loud and cramped. Louro is quite a bit more comfortable, less loud in my experience.

Agree on both. I'd add that P&A isn't particularly comfortable depending on where you are seated.

MF is a beautiful spot that I find can feel pretty romantic - dark lighting, candles.

Best food - P&A; second: MF
      Most romantic - MF
      Easiest to get into: Louro
      Liveliest: P&A; second: Louro

I'll vouch fir loud. My one experience at Pearl & Ash was enough for me. Maybe they just had the music up extra loud that night, but I honestly think it was the loudest, most unpleasant restaurant I've ever been in from an acoustic standpoint.

      2. I have only been to P&A and MF. Liked both very much, but couldn't be more different. P&A is totally creative, fabulous food (small plates), not much on comfort, very loud. MF more traditional, also fabulous food - menu basically in three courses - much more comfortable, also loud, but not as intensely loud. I suspect P&A would be a bigger change from NoMad.

I like the food better at Louro. Just as creative as at P & A, but creative in a different way. And the plates are normal sized and you don't have to share.
