My new fridge (GE, French door) is coming this week. How long should I expect it to take before I can put food in it?

Thanks!

Depending on its size (cubic feet of storage) anywhere from 12-24 hours. If you have your model number handy, you can get more detailed information here: http://www.geappliances.com/service_a...

Thanks for the quick response and link. (Slapping hand to forehead) I should have searched online first. See how much I trust Chowhounds?

As long as the accompanying owner manual says.

Thanks. I've got a 4 hour time frame for delivery and was trying to figure out my day. Meaning, if it comes late in the day, I won't be able to load it til the next morning, and then it would have to wait til after I get home from work. My back up fridge is in the garage, 15 steps from my kitchen. It'll be at least 10 trips to transfer the food and I'll be tired from a long day at work.
