One maybe two nights in Memphis

My SO and I will be traveling through Memphis on our way to New Orleans from MO at the beginning of June. We are not sure if we are staying one night or two, but we want to try and find the one place in Memphis that can't be missed. We are open to any type of food, but we are not really looking for super fancy or expensive (no $100/person five course tasting menus). We might have been traveling all day so being able to go to someplace that we can walk into with shorts and a tee shirt on are key. We will have a car so we can go anywhere in Memphis or even in the 'burbs, if we have to.

Should we do BBQ, we can and do get KC BBQ quite often? Is there one place that you would recommend to someone who is just traveling through and cannot be missed?

I would say Hog & Hominy http://www.hogandhominy.com/ In my opinion the best bbq in Memphis is Payne's, but it is only open until 5 or 6pm or some such. It is best known for its pulled pork, but its ribs, especially if you ask for the sauce on the side, are also the best I've had in Memphis.
