  1. I'd contact whoever hosted the event and they should have that info. Or refer you to the wine merchant who provided it.

    1. Since you say "grape koolaid" I'm assuming it was a sweet red wine?

If so, to be that sweet, it sounds like a dessert wine. One such example would be a late harvest zinfandel which can be quite delicious. $100 a bottle sounds expensive though.

Expensive is relative; Tantalus makes a Syrah ice wine that's retailing at $70/375 mL. California would suggest late harvest though.

      2. What color was the wine, please?

        1. Amy, regardless of what the wine may have been, the biggest problem you are facing is that you are in Pennsylvania. It is ILLEGAL for any California winery to ship to you. Period.

l have three Cali vineyards that have been shipping to me for decades in PA. l also have five more that ship to friends in NJ for me, as they will not ship to me in PA.

          2. Head to the nearest state store and ask for help from somebody old. You might luck out.

Probably white with the term moscato, sancerre, eiswein, or late harvest.. They can special order for you. A smile always helps. They got Frankenwein from Germany for me a couple of years ago.
