Nearly any restaurant here will some veg options. The more difficult thing is the "cheap" part--downtown has the fewest cheap restaurants in the city. Still, it can be done. If you are looking for lunch, there are plenty of places in the Pike Place Market where you find a relatively inexpensive lunch. (Many of these close for dinner). Just wander and see what looks good. For dinner, I'd recommend walking down to the International District and getting Vietnamese at Green Leaf. Or, go to happy hour (5-7) in the bar at Tavolata. They have a great HH menu. You can get the spaghetti without the meatballs--it's a dinner sized portion for $8. There is a thread on happy hour here if you search--it's a great way to eat inexpensively downtown.

Green Leaf is a great idea, and they run a branch in the downstairs of the Labor Temple at 2800 1st (@ Broad St).

Not as interesting, but Yardhouse has an extensive vegetarian menu.
