Downtown Miami near Intercontinental

Staying at the Intercontinental in Downtown Miami for two nights (tonight being the first - I know we are a bit late) - need great Chow recs - fabulous food and wine selection at reasonable prices within 20 minutes' walking distance. Not looking for anything crazy, just really good.

      +1 Il Gabbiano.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse in same vicinity as well.

All 3 very good, not sure if they meet your definition of reasonable, however.

    2. I would do river oyster bar. The other places mentioned are nice but not what you are looking for (they are expensive).

If you want to travel a bit further I would do nemesis bistro.

      1. Sparky's Roadside BBQ is also nearby and within easy walking distance!

And the other recommendations listed here at very solid!

        Ft. Pierce, FL....via Homestead

        1. Thanks all - good ideas for tonight. We just stayed in last night and did Toro Toro - it was decent. Perhaps Il Gabbiano or River Oyster tonight.

Thoughts about Truluck? I guess our definition of "reasonable" is a bit high. :-)

Depends what you are in the mood for...though Truluck's is a chain, Il Gabbiano is not and is directly on the water (ask for a table towards the back or sit at the bar towards the back, from where you can also dine...not the small bar closest to the entrance.
