Best Lamb Chops

  • j

I will be in Montreal at the end of May and plan on taking a friend out for a belated birthday celebration. I was wondering if I might have some suggestions for a restaurant that serves the best lamb chops (his favorite meal). We dined at Queue de Cheval and he liked those but I would like to try someplace different. Location is not important since I know Montreal quite well. Thanks!

  1. I don't know how your friend likes his lamb chops, but the Moroccan restaurant Chez Badi (1675, boul. de Maisonneuve Ouest) serves a lamb couscous and a lamb tagine that are absolutely delicious. In the evening, the table d'hôte (soup, salad, entree, desert and mint tea) costs around $15. Plus, Badi is nice chap!

    1. Jon, I would suggest two places. First is Rottiserie Panama at 789 Jean-Talon West(near d'Outremont street). Enjoy very much all their grilled meats, in this Greek establishment. They have grilled baby lamb chops. Second place is Jano, a Portuguese grill restaurant at 3883 St-Laurent Blvd(close by to Schwartz's deli). They grill many different meats & seafood.

      1. For lamb in general (including chops, but I haven't tried them there) I suggest Ouzeria on St.Denis, corner Gilford. Excellent Greek restaurant, the kind that doesn't stuff you with rice and garlicy potatoes, while neglecting the beauty of meat and fish.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I am sure that we will try at least one or possibly two of the places listed.
