Andina vs. Imperial by Paley

  • 7

We have a reservation for dinner tommorow evening at Andina, but are staying at the Lucia and peeked in at the Imperial. It looks very nice and interesting. We're going to Le Pigeon tonight and are trying to decide if we should forgo Andina for Imperial. What do you think?

  1. Have breakfast/brunch at Imperial. It's good. And then you'll still get to try Andina.

I think this is a good compromise, as well. You could also go after Andina for a cocktail at the bar...

Did just that. We had breakfast x2 at Imperial which was not only convenient (we were staying at the Lucia), but really great. Wonderful coddled eggs in a spicy tomato sauce with fry bread. Next day had excellent French toast. And...we had a wonderful dinner at Andina. Food was excellent, and menu was so interesting that I wanted to order everything. Only thing...Andina is not comfortable. It's very noisy and tables are very close. But the food and drink really shine here. We loved everything we had, and wished we could have eaten more!

Thanks for reporting! Glad you enjoyed it.

      2. I would do Andina for lunch. I don't know what it is. Maybe busy-ness of the kitchen. I always feel like the lunches are terrific and the dinners just good. Same dishes in many cases. YMMV. Imperial is terrific so whichever meal you choose you bill do well.

IOW (in other words ;o): I think so, maybe you will too...or, hey, maybe you won't.
