I am making Daube de Boeuf Provencal tomorrow and the recipe calls for Nicoise olives...Any idea where I can find them? Alternatively, what would be a good substitution for Nicoise?

  1. I would use kalamata olives which, though larger, have a similar flavour and are easy to find. I have found small black olives at Soares grocery store on Duluth that are really similar to nicoise, so maybe other Portugese shops have something like them?

    1. If you are in NDG, check out Akhavan' s selection of olives. They might have what you want.

      1. I've actually purchased President's Choice Nicoise olives many times at Loblaws or Provigo.

          I'll try Loblaws. Thanks!

        2. Nicoise olives are hard to find. The only place I have found real Olives Nicoise is at 5 Saisons.
