Ô Merveilleux Belgian Meringue

This place on 2nd Ave. just south of East 79th is a few months old, but I finally managed to stop by and check it out. I picked up a pain au chocolate and a meringue topped w/ cream and chocolate shavings. The pain au chocolate was crisp on the outside, tender, airy and flaky on the inside w/ a creamy chocolatey filling.

The meringue was delicate, crisp along the edges and chewier in the center w/ a just right sweet cream and dark chocolate. I'd describe it more, but it was so good I wolfed it down. I guess that means I'll have to go back and try it again. And again.
