Shalom Bombay - NYC

So, I decided to get a little Indian for lunch yesterday and walked over to Shalom Bombay on Lexington and I noticed the place was closed. Is this just a case of not opening up right after Pesach or is it closed for good. Anyone know?

  1. Yelp keeps pretty good tabs on openings/closings. You can also try calling the restaurant at (212) 922-0224.

    1. I heard they closed. The Teaneck restaurant has reopened.

      1. They just sent out this email:

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances with our current building, Shalom Bombay will be moving to a new location. Please stay tuned for future updates. In the meantime, please visit our Teaneck location and show your NY license and we will deduct the toll off your bill for a table of 3 or more. Catering and large orders will still be available for delivery to NY.

Thanks, I got the email too. Hope it is soon. I love this place and feel it is the best kosher lunch bargain in the city.

          2. Rats! only a block from my office - Goodby mixed grill appetizer. Hope they re-open nearby

            1. Did they find a location and reopen?

Don't think so. They are doing all their marketing these days for the Teaneck location. Your best bet is to check with the guys there.
