  1. Do you mean actual Spanish cuisine or small plates in general?

Spanish tapas would be best, but beggars can't be choosers.

Taste in the Galleria has all small plates. Food is good. Nice wine selection by the glass. Nice atmosphere.

    2. Well I don't know of any true "tapas de espana" locally, but I do have a spot that I like to hit for small plates (and large plates LOL)

One of my favorite local restaurants is the copper canyon. They have a great selection of smaller plates. I'd highly recommend the tuna carpaccio, lamb chops, and warm brie with salsa (I don't even like brie but this dish is outrageously good.) The crab cake is excellent and stuffed jalapenos are pretty good, but not as good as the first three I mentioned. And definitely start with chips and salsa for like 2.95....must get those. Pass on the guacamole....good but overpriced at like 12 or 13 dollars.

Drinks are about 10 a clip so its not cheap but I love the food there. If you are a beer person they have a great beer called Carton Canyon that is brewed locally at Carton Brewing. It has agave in it and it pairs extremely well with the spicy/smoky flavor of the salsa. It is brewed exclusively for Copper Canyon.

oh and they have a good steak if you are a carnivore ; )

I guess the fish tacos might be considered a small plate too. Those are tasty.
