    Fiola Mare*
    Sushi Taro
    Kellari Taverna
    DC Coast
    Black Salt*
and possibly Joe's Stone Crab (I haven't been yet)
and there's Eat the Rich which I forgot about.

*not near red line but still worthy of going.

Frends report the turf is much better than the surf at Joe's Stone Crab.

I'd add Hank's to that list - easy walking from downtown or Dupont Metro.

Black Salt is wonderful but like Worldwide Diner said, not near the metro.

I really like DC Coast. Brasserie Beck would also work if mussles and frites are what you are in the mood for. I would also add Hank's Oyster Bar, especially if you can sit outside.

Plaenty of restaurants serve great fish and seafood that are not seafood restaurants. Siroc serves a rockfish in creamy leek sauce that is excellent, and they also have whole branzino on the menu.

There are actually quite a panoply of nice seafood selections at Rasika -- both in terms of fish (cod, salmon) and crustaceans (shrimp, lobster).

Acadiana is equidistant from Metro Center, Chinatown, and Mount Vernon Square.
