Should tempranillo be bubbly?

Help, 'hounds! I just opened a bottle of 2011 Finca del Castillo Tempranillo, and it's seriously effervescent. I've had reds with a hint of effervescence, but this is verging on champagne levels of bubbles. Is this wine supposed to be this way, or did I get a bad bottle? Will I poison myself if I drink this?

  1. Poison? No. But it's clearly a flawed bottle. Take it back.

    1. Korbel Rouge should be bubbly.
      Tempranillo should not be.

      1. You definitely won't poison yourself drinking the stuff.

        1. I'd take it back. No bubbles for tempranillo!
