Does Costa Mesa count? If so, Pizzeria Ortica has solid pastas.
Big +1. The spinach fettucccini with bolognese and paparadelle with lamb ragu are top notch.
+1 to Pizzeria Ortica. I've also enjoyed Il Barone near John Wayne Airport and Francoli's in Orange. Haven't tried Ceppa (spelling?) in HB yet but it sounds promising.
If Long Beach counts as "northern" OC, then Michael's should be an option you consider.
I just had the house-made pappardelle with braised lamb shoulder at Cucina Alessa' in HB last night. It was amazing, if just a tad salty. They have a number of house-made pastas. We also had an heirloom burrata as a starter, which was delicious.
There is a buy $30 and get $50 worth of food deal at Cucina Alessa right now.http://www.voicedailydeals.com/deals/...
Where were you yesterday with this?!?! Oh well. Now I'll just have to go back.
Pizzeria Ortica, Il Garage.
Also, Tutto Fresco in Orange if you like it "American style."
BBQ the Central California Way
What's good in central OC?
Lobster dinner in central OC?
